Pirton Players

Since Pirton Players was started in 1995 they have put on over 30 shows - averaging two main productions per year. Typically, these include a musical and a drama or comedy. The shows are always staged at Pirton Village Hall although the group periodically presents evenings of drama, poetry or music which have been staged across various venues - from local pubs, to churches, barns and old people's homes.

Auditions are usually held for at least the leading parts in a production if not for every role and occur about 3 months before the curtain goes up. You do not need to be a member of the group to audition, but will need to become one to take your part in a production.

The group also organises occasional theatre trips and workshops with professional experts, such as: voice and dialect coaching, fight workshops, choreography, director workshops, etc.

Pirton Players is about using drama and music to build and reflect a tight sense of community and belonging, whilst having fun. To find our more please visit www.pirtonplayers.org
