About Pirton

Pirton is a beautiful village set in North Hertfordshire, about four miles from Hitchin and on the edge of the Chilterns - an Area of Outstanding National Beauty.  Some of its vital statistics are listed opposite.

Pirton is an ancient village that it has plenty of history including prehistoric, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, medieval sites.

We are a very active village with many local clubs and organisations (see Community), and we have the luxury of residents who love where they live, who are proud of the village and actively support the activities held.

We are in a superb location, with sufficient local amenities, e.g. a local shop run by genuinely interested and enthusiastic people and close enough to the main town facilities for them to be convenient.
